Our People
Jonathan Emery CMLI

I joined DSA in July 2016 to undertake my placement year, and later in September 2018 as a graduate having completed my Master’s degree at the University of Sheffield.
My experience covers the full range of landscape planning, design and management practice, with a real interest in the field of healthcare. I also have considerable experience in landscape and visual impact assessment across England and Wales and have developed new methods of communicating ideas to advance the practice’s technical assessment work. More recently, I’ve been lucky enough to work on several local landscape design projects in town and city centre locations, fulfilling my interest in the role of the landscape to create and sustain healthy places.
I have always been a passionate advocate for the profession, having been a committee member of various Landscape Institute branches for over a decade. Currently, I am the Chair of the Landscape Institute East Midlands branch, eager to foster a greater understanding and cooperation between professional disciplines in the region. I also sit on the Landscape Institute’s Education and Careers committee, determined to inspire the next generation of enthusiastic Landscape Architects!
