Our People
Glyn Symonds

My background is in textile design. I have known David Singleton since the late eighties, when we worked together as volunteers for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. I graduated with a Masters in Landscape Design from the University of Sheffield.
I have worked with DSA Environment & Design for many years (as a client and as a contractor) and now make up part of the team. I believe that environmental change makes a difference. I share DSA’s passion for beautiful, ecologically responsible design that people can relate to easily. I have considerable experience in working with local communities to deliver meaningful change on the ground. I specialise in the engagement of end-users, through the design and consultation process and often the production of art works.
My experience has historically concentrated on the ‘sharp end’ of delivery, managing projects on site and liaising with contractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget and, crucially, to the quality envisaged in the design. I have extensive experience in ensuring the viability of environmental projects and funding.
After many years being a keen allotmenteer, I now advise on garden design and am an enthusiastic volunteer for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust on woodland management projects.
