Our People
Elle Morgan-Vane

I joined DSA Environment & Design in 2023 on a ‘summer placement’ between my second and third years of my BA in Landscape Architecture at the University of Shefield (UoS). I continued here part-time through my third-year studies. As part of my Masters in Landscape Architecture, I returned to complete my ‘year out’ at DSA. I have continued part time through my final year of studies and will be returning as a graduate.
During my BA, I developed a particular interest in landscape planning. In my third year, I worked as a Student Teaching Assistant for the Landscape Department at UoS where I aided second year students in learning AutoCAD. I was an Academic Representative for my year group, aiding in the continual improvement of student experience in the Landscape Department, and
a Student Ambassador, advocating for the profession at Open Days, during my second and third years of study. I was also a Social Secretary for Landmark Society in my third year – during which I assisted in organising a guest lecture from DSA.
During my ‘year out’ at DSA, I took on the responsibility for marketing DSA on social media and developing its brand. This has included producing project brochures and video. I joined the Landscape Institute East Midlands branch as a Student Representative and continue in the role. I gained a passion for detailed design during this year and follow DSA’s ambition to
always be critical and to go above and beyond the initial brief, so my proposals work for both people and nature. During the final year of my MLA studies, I continued in the ambition to develop DSA’s brand by aiding in the refreshment of its website.
