Our People
Ben Betts CMLI

I joined DSA Environment & Design in 2009 on my ‘year out’ from the University of Sheffield. After completing my Masters, which focused on landscape planning and management, I returned to DSA. I share DSA’s determination to bring people and landscape together to make places.
I believe that there are fantastic emerging technologies that will radically improve the way that landscape work is communicated. With this in mind, I am determined to ensure that the client’s design concepts are communicated clearly and to explore ways of doing this more effectively using digital technology.
My experience covers a wide range of environmental design and management practice, from planning scale down to detailed design working with commercial, voluntary, and public sector clients. I have developed special expertise in Biodiversity Net Gain and landscape assessment, including giving evidence at planning appeal hearings. I am a professional pathway mentor and previously the East Midlands regional representative on the Landscape Institute Council.
